| LB 371 Law Enforcement Officers Creates the Nebraska Peace Officer Retirement Act to be administered by NPERS. The plan is a defined benefit plan with provisions similar to the State Patrol plan and incorporates a DROP plan. Both the member and the employer would contribute 8% of monthly compensation. If an additional contribution was necessary to meet an unfunded actuarial liability, the political subdivisions would be required to contribute the additional amount.
